What we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to get it deleted.
Last updated 1 September 2026
1. Who we are
Slidefy is an independently operated product, run from India, and is the controller of the personal data described here.
For anything in this policy — including a request to see, correct or delete your data — email slidefysupport@gmail.com. We answer from that mailbox and it is the fastest way to reach a person.
2. What we collect
Account data. When you sign up we store your email address. If you sign in with Google we also receive your name and profile picture from Google. If you sign up by email you may give us a name. We never receive your Google password.
Content you create. Your brand kits (business name, description, tone, industry, audience, colours, uploaded logo), the topics and notes you enter, the carousels you generate, saved ideas, and images you upload into slides.
Billing data. If you subscribe, we store your plan, your subscription and customer identifiers from our payment provider, and your renewal date. We never see or store your card number — that goes directly to the payment provider.
Usage data. Counts we need to enforce plan limits: carousels generated this month, AI credits used and remaining, how many brand kits you have, the Content Autopilot cards you keep or skip and the day you first used Content Autopilot, and which Founder Playbook stories your plan opens.
Technical data. Ordinary web server and security logs, including IP address, which we also use for rate limiting to stop abuse of the AI features.
We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites. The cookies we set exist to keep you signed in.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis
- To provide the service you asked for — creating an account, generating and storing your carousels, exporting files. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
- To take payment and manage your subscription. Basis: performance of our contract.
- To keep the service secure and working — rate limiting, abuse prevention, fixing faults. Basis: our legitimate interest in a service that stays up and is not abused.
- To email you about your account, such as a sign-in code or a change to these policies. Basis: performance of our contract, and our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to train AI models.
4. What happens when you use an AI feature
When you generate or rewrite something, we send the relevant material — your topic or notes, the brand details for that carousel, and the text being rewritten — to a third-party AI provider through an API gateway. We send what the feature needs, not your whole account.
Your name, email address and payment details are never sent to the AI provider.
If you paste a link for us to summarise, our server fetches that page. We only fetch public web addresses; requests to private or internal network addresses are blocked.
6. Where your data is held
Our providers operate internationally, so your data may be processed outside your own country, including in the United States. Where that involves a transfer out of the UK or EEA, it is covered by the transfer safeguards those providers have in place, such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account and its content for as long as your account exists, because that content is the product — your carousels are meant to still be there when you come back.
Deleting a brand kit deletes that brand's profile and its saved ideas. It deliberately does not delete carousels you made with it; those stay in your account, no longer attached to a brand.
When an account is deleted, we delete its brand kits, carousels, ideas and uploaded images. Billing records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Backups and server logs age out on their own ordinary schedule.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable form.
Some of this you can do yourself, today, without asking us:
- Edit or delete a brand kit from the Brands page.
- Rename or delete any carousel from your dashboard.
- Export any carousel as PNG or PDF at any time.
- Cancel your subscription from account settings.
Deleting your whole account is not yet a button in the app. Email slidefysupport@gmail.com from your account's email address and we will delete it. We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days.
If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first — but you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Security
Your data is held in a database with per-user access rules, so one account cannot read another's rows. Uploaded images and logos are stored in a private bucket and served through short-lived signed links rather than public URLs. Traffic is encrypted in transit.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.
10. Children
Slidefy is not intended for under-16s and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page is when it was last changed.
